Moroes

Strategy

Placement

* MT - Moroes is best tanked to the right of the platform where he is
pulled from with the MT's back faces towards the corner. The MT will do
a few aggro moves and turn his back to Moroes to avoid getting
garotted.

* Healers - Healers just spread out at max range from their CCed
targets and Moroes so if their add breaks they have time to CC it or if
Moroes gouges the MT they have time to try and kite him till the tank
gets him.

* DPS - Kills their targets in assigned burn order and move onto
Moroes, CC adds if they get loose until the priest can pick them up
again if needed. A caster stands on top of the MT facing Moroes so they
can take the gouge and gives the MT more time to build threat.

The Encounter

Moroes will come with 4 randomly generated adds picked from 6 class/spec possibilities. The following are what you can get:

Baron Rafe Dreuger - Retribution Paladin

Baroness Dorothea Milstipe - Shadow Priest

Lady Catriona Von'Indi - Holy Priest

Lady Keira Berrybuck - Holy Paladin

Lord Crispin Ference - Protection Warrior

Lord Robin Daris - Mortal Strike Warrior

These adds are crowd controllable through things such as shackle,
fear, frost trap, and cyclone. Now you will need 2 tanks on Moroes
because he occasionally will gouge your MT and go to the person who is
second highest on the aggro list. I think Bashu will be the 10th person
tonight so he will be offtanking in bear form. Now onto the execution
of the pull and crowd control.

The pull will be done with the warrior running in to get the adds,
immediately upon aggro the priests will shackle their targets and our
hunter will drag an add into his trap. Thankfully there have been a few
of us who have experience with heroic instances and have perfected the
art of crowd control. Since we have two priests we will have two
shackles and Orcses can take care of frost trapping, I can assist him
with cyclone when his trap breaks giving him enough time to have his
trap cooldown and lay another one. That leaves Moroes and one add.
Depending on what we get we will have to choose what adds we crowd
control and what we burn first.

The burn priority is as follows: Shadow Priest, Holy Priest, Holy
Paladin, Retribution Paladin, Protection Warrior, and Mortal Strike
Warrior.

The priests and paladins can cleanse shackle so the priests
shackling need to make sure to reapply it ASAP, I would recommend
casting shackle in between your heals approx every 5 seconds. I will
explain a sample pull.

Okay say we get a Mortal Strike Warrior, a Protection Warrior, a
Holy Priest, and a Shadow Priest. The tank will run in and grab Moroes,
the priests proceed to shackle the Warriors, Orcses will take the holy
priest into his trap, and a rogue or bashu will snag the shadow priest.
Every else will burn the heck out of the shadow priest and then move
onto the holy priest. Once the holy priest is down everyone will move
onto Moroes, now as a side note this whole time Bashu will be creating
as much aggro as he can to be second on the list to Moroes. We keep the
warriors shackled and burn Moroes, once Moroes is down we can move onto
his remaining adds and get our phat loot.

Priests can use a macro to ease their pain on controlling their adds...just use a macro like:

/target Baron Rafe Dreuger

/cast Shackle Undead

/targetlasttarget

Now it is very important for me to note that Moroes will vanish
approx every 3 minutes and garrote a random player. This garrote lasts
for 5 minutes, and does 1000/tick every 3 seconds...To counteract this
I will be in treeform and applying lifebloom every 6 seconds and an
occasional rejuv on the said target. This sounds terrible but it really
shouldnt be too hard to heal through. The important part of this
encounter is just making sure our adds are controlled and everyone is
coordinated. I can't stress enough the importance of focus firing and
making sure your add isn't loose.

KEYNOTES

* Your Tank can throw a few sunders and aggro gaining moves on
Moroes and then turn his back to not get gouged. If you have a caster
like a warlock or mage stand on top of your tank, the caster will take
the gouge allowing your MT to keep full aggro on Moroes then entire
fight and he never gets loose.

* A single treeform druid can heal through the garrotes, just cast
a rejuv and a lifebloom every time the HoTs run out on your target. It
is a little more then sufficient. Ask for help once in a while if
needed.

* When you shackle your target get at max range from it so you can
have enough time to reshackle if it breaks early. Best way to heal is
cast shackle, throw a heal or two, cast shackle, throw a heal or
two...etc.

* The faster the adds get CCed and killed the faster you can DPS
Moroes and heal the Garrotes easier because less targets are getting
Garroted.

* A survival spec hunter can fully CC 1 add, so if you have 2
priests and a hunter you only have to kill 1 add and can start DPSing
Moroes.

* In case you are unfortunate enough to have only 1 priest you can
burn 2 adds and then go to DPS Moroes with your hunter keeping the last
one trapped. If you only have 1 shackled and the MS warrior, the MS
warrior should ALWAYS be shackled as he is the hardest to deal with.

Maiden of Virtue

Strategy

Placement

* Healers/Ranged - This fight is held in a circular room with many
pillars, there are enough pillars for everyone to spread out and stand
in between. Each player should stand right in front of the two pillars
so they are in LoS to be dispelled.

* Melee - There should only be a total of 3 melee hitting the
Maiden at a time, this includes the MT, so two rogues at most. Everyone
else should ranged and feral druids should just heal.

* MT - Your MT tanks here where she stands.

The Encounter

Throughout the encounter she uses two primary moves which are holy
fire, which needs to be dispelled IMMEDIATELY, and an entire raid
repentance which lasts 10 seconds. The holy fire does about 4k
initially and the dot ticks for around 1.2k, that is why it needs to be
dispelled as soon as it hits. She also has a holy shock which is
basically a chain lightning which increases damage as it jumps targets,
this is why you can only have 3 melee in at a time. Your ranged also
needs to make sure they don't get too close to the little circle
platform she is tanked on as they will get hit by the shock. She also
does a weak consecration which silences anyone that stands in it. Now
she hits pretty hard, even on plate so you need to have 1 or 2 healers
focused on healing the MT, 1 priest focused on dispelling, and 1 healer
focused on spot healing (tree druid or pally).

Now there are a couple ways of dealing with her repentance, you can
have your dispelling priest run in the consecration right as she is
about to repentance and he can dispell a healer. Or you can load your
MT with HoTs the entire fight. Either way works. The repentance does
about 2k damage people can help the healing by bandaging after it as
the tank will most likely need heals.

Once you get the healing rotations down and learn how to heal
through the repentance this is a pretty easy fight, just rinse and
repeat.

KEYNOTES

* The holy fire needs to be dispelled IMMEDIATELY as it ticks
pretty hard. If you fail to do so it can wipe the raid pretty quick.

* Pets and Druid forms are now affected by the repentance so don't
rely on them to save your tank, be safe and put HoTs on him and keep
him topped off at all times.

* If the healers are getting overwhelmed a bandage, healthstone,
or pot can save your life and also the raid, it is a 10 man so 1 player
loss is 10% contribution from the raid or often 20% of your DPS.

* The tank takes A LOT of damage so load him up with HoTs before
the repentance so there is at least some healing on him at all times.
He needs to be topped off all the time. Also lifebloom is a great spell
for after a repentance. Healing assignments are a huge plus.

* There should NEVER be more then 3 melee in range, including the
MT, if there is more the 3 melee in range people start to die from the
holy shock.

* If you have a shaman put him close to the priest taking the holy
fires and have him drop grounding totem to absorb most of the holy
fires.
